As you plan your spring break trip to the Central Coast, you may be wondering: what are the best things to do with kids and teenagers in San Luis Obispo County?

Well, we’ll have to put ourselves on the list. After all, how often do you find something that the kids think is cool, and the parents think is fun?

Here are some of our favorite things to do with the entire family here in SLO County:

Bubblegum Alley
Yes, Bubblegum Alley is kind of gross and silly, but it’s a local institution that’s sure to get a rise out of anyone. True to its name, it’s an alley covered in old gum, located right off Higuera Street in downtown SLO. And if you haven’t lost your appetite after a stroll down Bubblegum Alley, head up a few blocks to Firestone Grill for burgers and more at this easygoing eatery that any kid or teen will love.

Morro Rock
Even the most jaded teen will find some wonderment in this massive rock formation that juts heavenward out of Morro Bay. You can stroll right up to it and take in all of the bay’s majestic views. Afterward, head a few blocks into downtown, where you can grab a casual bite at Giovanni’s Fish Market or enjoy treats like ice cream and taffy.

Downtown SLO Farmer’s Market
This is one of the most renowned farmer’s markets in the nation. In addition to an abundance of fresh local produce, you’ll enjoy a variety of food vendors, artisan crafts, street entertainments and more. It happens every Thursday evening starting at 6 p.m.

Margarita Adventures Zipline Tour
Our tours include six ziplines spanning more than 7,500 linear feet over canyons, vineyards and woodlands, which is why we’re known as “the biggest thrill on the Central Coast.” Our tour also includes a replica earl California gold mining camp, a 300-foot suspension bridge and a trip out to the historic Santa Margarita Ranch. You’re gonna love it!

So there you have it, some of the best things to do with teens and kids in SLO County!
