Do all roads lead to wine in Paso Robles? Almost, but not quite! Let us turn you onto some best things to do in Paso Robles when you’re taking a break from our celebrated wine bars and tasting rooms.
It’s a question we get with some regularity here at Margarita Adventures: “What are some other non-wine things to do around here?” Maybe they don’t drink wine or just want to try something new. Whatever the reason, it’s a valid question—and we’ve got some answers!
So consider this a starter list as you explore all that our region has to offer:
MARGARITA ADVENTURES: Escape Rooms, Ziplines & eBike Tours
Naturally, we start with some of our own attractions here at Margarita Adventures.
Our flagship Zipline Adventure Tours are the #1 outdoor adventure in Paso Robles. Here, you soar over vineyards, valleys and mountains on six thrilling lines, including an epic tandem ride spanning 2,800 feet. Our zipline tours are perfect for families, friends and groups seeking non-wine things to do on the Central Coast.
Additionally, our fun and exciting escape rooms are widely acclaimed for their creative storylines, ingenious challenges, making them a perfect experience for groups including friends and family and one of the best indoor activities in Paso robles.
And this summer we have launched our latest two escape room experiences completing our science fiction-themed trilogy that began in 2024 with the opening of “Renegade Episode One: The Retrofit.” The rave reviews are already pouring in, with guest Melissa D. remarking last week on Google: “We have thoroughly enjoyed each escape room we have done at Margarita Adventures! The rooms have been cleverly planned and well executed!”
If you prefer to remain earthbound, our Vineyard e-Bike Tours in Paso Robles lead you out to the historic Santa Margarita Ranch to enjoy vineyard views, California heritage and insights into nature and wildlife. It’s a top outdoor activity in San Luis Obispo County.
And if you’re thirsty afterward, you can cross the street to taste at our affiliated Ancient Peaks Winery Tasting Room & Café where you can enjoy a delicious lunch in Santa Margarita and, yes, even enjoy some wine from the vines you just zipped over.
