There’s a lot to see when you come out to the historic Santa Margarita Ranch for a zipline canopy tour, including 300-year-old legacy oaks, stunning vistas, abundant wildlife, picturesque grapevines and more.

But there’s one thing you’ll only see this time of year, and that’s bright, ripe grape clusters hanging deliciously on the vines as we enter the harvest season—-to be followed by even more color as the vine leaves exhibit the fiery hues of autumn later in the season.  At the end of your tour, you’ll even zip right over a block of Pinot Noir vines!

Needless to say, the harvest season is a sight to behold on Santa Margarita Ranch, adding a majestic and memorable touch to your tour.

Pictured here is Director of Winemaking Mike Sinor of our affiliated Ancient Peaks Winery, checking out the fruit at the ranch’s Margarita Vineyard. This vineyard plays a big visual role in our tours. In addition to zipping over the Pinot Noir, you also travel through the vineyard on your way out to the ziplines. And from the crest of the first zipline, you enjoy a stunning panorama view of Margarita Vineyard (see photo below).

After your tour, you can enjoy an optional wine tasting across the street at the Ancient Peaks tasting room (our tour guests enjoy a 20% savings on wine purchases, and the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of one or more bottles), where you will enjoy wines from the vines you just experienced, including one appropriately named Renegade.

So book your zipline tour this fall, and come thirsty. Cheers!
