We place an uncompromising priority on safety in the construction and maintenance of our ziplines; the integrity of our equipment; and the training of our guides. Our ziplines meet or exceed all accepted design and safety requirements.
Specifically, we are certified by the State of California’s Permanent Amusement Ride (PAR) inspection program, which falls under the Department of Occupational Safety and Health and the Department of Industrial Relations.
The PAR program requires us to meet all state safety standards and to pass three annual inspections. These annual state inspections include a review by a Quality Safety Inspector, a paperwork and procedures audit, and a random audit to ensure ongoing compliance. We are also compliant with the standards set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
As part of our safety program, we conduct a daily inspection of all gear in use and a weekly inspection of all equipment, and we also conduct monthly maintenance and service on all five of our ziplines.
